Police: Fight Over Piece of Pizza Causes $900 in Damages to Tony's LaPizzeria in Cedar Falls
The following information was provided by the police. It does not represent a conviction.
Cedar Falls police charged three men with disorderly conduct and public intoxication after a weekend fight that allegedly centered around a pilfered piece of pizza.
Police said officers on a routine patrol early Sunday morning witnessed an altercation outside Tony's LaPizzeria, 407 Main Street.
When they separated the fighting individuals, there was allegedly a strong odor of alcohol coming from Jamie Ray Clasen, 32, of Iowa City. Police said Clasen admitted to drinking 12 beers.
He and Alexander Michael Six, 30, of Waterloo, were allegedly fighting with Marshall Lee Karr, 19, of Traer. Police said the subject of the altercation was a piece of pizza.
Police said witnesses reported Six had stolen a piece of pizza from a man inside the bar. However, Six denied being involved in the fight, and police said he appeared confused when questioned about the incident. Karr told police he did not know either Six or Clasen before the alleged pizza theft.
During the fight, police said a glass door worth $900 was broken.
All three men were arrested at about 2:15 a.m. May 13 and were charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
