Ghosh Withdraws Candidacy for UNI Presidency
There are now only two candidates remaining for the position of the next president of the University of Northern Iowa.
Avijit Ghosh, one of the three final candidates for president of the University of Northern Iowa, has withdrawn his candidacy.
The following message from search-committee co-chairs Farzad Moussavi and Mark Oman was sent to the committee this afternoon:
"We regret to inform you that Dr. Avijit Ghosh, one of the three finalists for president of the University of Northern Iowa, has withdrawn his candidacy. We wish Dr. Ghosh well in his future endeavors."
The Iowa Board of Regents plans to announce the next UNI president on Thursday.
