Patch Pick Contest: The Best of Valentine's Day in Cedar Falls
Hey Cedar Falls - how do YOU want to spend Valentine's Day? With cupcakes? Nature? Theater? You tell us, and we'll anoint a winner of romance.
In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, we want to know - what's your idea of a romantic day in Cedar Falls?
Patch selected three local options for Valentine's Day romance. All are great. But only one can win. Which it will be, is up to you.
Contest: What's the most romantic choice for Valentine's Day in Cedar Falls?
Contestants: Sweets from Scratch Cupcakery, a walk in the woods with your loved one at Hartman Reserve, and a romantic evening at Lampost Theatre.
Vote by clicking on your favorite contestant and then write a brief review.
Above and below, each contestant's name is hyperlinked to their listing in Patch's business directory. To participate, on their business directory listing page, leave a review of why you think it is great.
Here's how we decide the winner: The contestant that receives the most reviews on their business directory listing wins.
Voting starts today and will close at noon on Monday, Feb. 13. The best part? Voting doesn't cost you a thing.
Show these local places some love this Valentine's Day, Cedar Falls! Make sure you vote.
Here's more on our contestants:
1. Eating cupcakes. Scratch Cupcakery cupcakes, to be exact. What could be more romantic than your sweetheart bringing you home something so sweet?
2. A walk in the woods. With this unseasonably warm winter, why not get out and take your loved one on a walk through nature's beauty at Hartman Reserve? If the snow does fall, you can go for a romantic snow shoe hike instead before heading home for hot chocolate.
3. A night at the theater. The Lampost Theatre Valentine's Day show is sold out, which means a night at the theater clearly appeals to many in town. Even if you miss the show, you can stop into their coffee shop for a steamer or head to Lampost a different night for music, swing dancing or movies.
