Update: Fourth Cedar Falls Man Arrested in Waterloo Stabbing Incident

The men said they were stabbed while walking in Waterloo early Tuesday, but police said the wounds were inflicted in self defense after the men allegedly broke into a home.

Update: A fourth man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a Waterloo stabbing incident.

Austin Gilbert Christian, 19, of Cedar Falls, was charged with first-degree burglary and second-degree robbery. Police said he and two others allegedly broke into a Waterloo home and assaulted the homeowner. Police said the homeowner stabbed the men in self-defense.

Christian and the two others went to Covenant Medical Center for their wounds early Tuesday and told police they had been attacked by a group of five or six men.

Waterloo Police have arrested two of the Cedar Falls men who told officers they were attacked and stabbed in Waterloo early Tuesday morning.

Officers said a homeowner allegedly stabbed the men in self-defense when they broke into his Waterloo home.

A juvenile, 17, and Milo David Rousseau, 37, both of Cedar Falls, were arrested and charged with first-degree burglary and second-degree robbery Tuesday night.

They were among three men who arrived at Covenant Medical Center around 2 a.m. Tuesday, saying they had been attacked and stabbed by five or six men who stole a cell phone.

Another juvenile, 17, of Cedar Falls, was also arrested and charged with first-degree burglary and second-degree robbery. Police said he was the getaway driver.

Police said Austin Christian, 19, of Cedar Falls, the third man who was stabbed, remains hospitalized, and that charges are pending against him.

Officers said the three men broke into a home in the 200 block of Letsch Street in Waterloo and assaulted the homeowner, which is when police said he stabbed the men. The homeowner allegedly recieved welts to his back and side from a blunt object.

Three Cedar Falls men were stabbed while walking in Waterloo early this morning, Waterloo police said.

Police said Austin Christian, 19, Milo Rousseau, 37, and a 17-year-old* arrived at the Covenant Medical Center emergency room around 2 a.m. Tuesday.

Police said their injuries were not life threatening. The juvenile was stabbed in the chest, Christian was stabbed three times in the back and Rousseau had injuries to his back and chest, police said.

Their assailants remain at large, and an investigation is ongoing.

The men told police they were walking somewhere in west Waterloo around 1 a.m. when they were attacked by five or six men. The men reportedly attacked them and stole a cell phone.
