UNI President Candidates Make Their Case on Campus: Northern Iowan Reader

William Ruud and Avijit Ghosh visited campus Monday and Wednesday, respectively, to share their ideas and answer questions from the University of Northern Iowa community. A third and final candidate, Michael A. Wartell, will visit UNI Monday, Feb. 4.

Ruud talks about future of UNI

William Ruud, the first of three presidential candidates to visit campus argued that UNI should emphasize its unique position as the only regional comprehensive university in the state of Iowa.

Ghosh emphasizes leadership

In his public forum Wednesday, Avijit Ghosh, the second UNI presidential candidate said strong leadership is crucial to moving the university forward.

Final UNI presidential candidate announced

Michael A. Wartell, chancellor emeritus and professor of chemistry at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne, will speak with the public Monday, Feb. 4 at UNI.
