Iowa Connections Academy Graduates Accomplished High School Seniors

Anita, Iowa (May 20, 2014) Iowa Connections Academy, an online public school serving students in grades K-12 across Iowa, graduated 12 seniors on May 17 in West Des Moines, Iowa. Family, friends, teachers and representatives from CAM Community School District celebrated the students’ successes with remarks from Iowa Connections Academy secondary math teacher Angela Sarvis and social studies teacher Aaron Bane. Teachers Lucinda Core, Paulette McCall and Amber Strickrod highlighted each senior, and graduate Aimee Scritchfield delivered an inspirational speech to her peers.

 

The school’s 2014 graduating seniors come from cities and towns across Iowa, including Norwalk, Ankeny, Remsen, Ames, Melbourne, Jesup, Villisca, Sumner, Des Moines and Centerville. Graduating seniors will go on to pursue higher education and careers in fields such as business, computer science, and education. College-bound students are headed to University of New Hampshire, Indian Hills Community College and Iowa Western Community College, among others.
