Cedar Falls Native Annabeth Gish to Appear on 'Parks and Recreation'

Attention "Parks and Recreation" fans of Cedar Falls: one of our own will be soon be on the show.

Cedar Falls' native and actress Annabeth Gish recently filmed an episode of the show, in which she was cast as Stephanie, the sister of Ben, played by Adam Scott. Ben is the fiance of main character Leslie, played by Amy Poehler.

The hit NBC show airs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays. The date Gish's episode will air hasn't been released.

"Undoubtedly the MOST fun I've ever had on a set with genius lady-friend #amypoehler & best new brother @mradamscott @parksandrecnbc!" Gish wrote on her Twitter account after filming the episode.

Gish graduated from Northern University High School in 1989 before attending Duke University. Since then, the actress has had roles on "The X-Files," "The West Wing" and "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," among others.
