Biden To Visit Waterloo Tuesday

The vice president will make two Iowa stops, one to the Cedar Valley.

Vice President Joe Biden will visit Waterloo Tuesday as part of a two-stop visit to Iowa that will also include Dubuque.

Biden will be at the UAW Local 83, 2615 Washington St., in Waterloo at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

A press release said the stops are part of the, "Strengthening the Middle Class Tour to highlight President Obama’s ongoing efforts to grow Iowa’s rural economy and bolster middle-class security for Iowa’s workers."

Biden's visit comes as the general election season kicks into high gear, with several recent Iowa visits by both President Barack Obama and GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney. Iowa is a swing state with valuable electoral votes up for grabs.

On Wednesday, Biden will be at the Grand River Center, 500 Bell St. in Dubuque, at 10 a.m.
