President Barack Obama and Vice-President Joe Biden were re-elected to office Tuesday night, defeating Republican challenger Mitt Romney and his vice-presidential running mate Rep. Paul Ryan.

Iowa gave its six Electoral College votes to the president. Democratic Congressman Bruce Braley was also re-elected, and Iowa Supreme Court Justice David Wiggins was retained after an emotional battle that centered on same-sex marriage and politics in the courtroom.

According to unofficial results on the Iowa Secretary of State's website, here are vote totals in Cedar Falls:

10,648 voted for Obama/Biden versus 8,878 for Romney/Ryan

8,845 voted yes to retaining David Wiggins versus 5,346 who voted no to retention
