'No One Will Work Harder' Ann Romney Tells Iowans of Her Husband

The wife of GOP presidential hopeful and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney was in suburban Des Moines Thursday afternoon to talk about why her husband is best suited for the job.

No one will work harder to improve the economy than Mitt Romney, his wife said in a surburban Des Moines campaign stop.

“I know this guy pretty well. I’ve seen him in a lot of situations,” Ann Romney told a crowd at a rally held at By Design furniture store and design studio in Clive. “I trust him implicitly. I know he’s a good man,” she was quoted in a Des Moines Register story.

Romney said she was in Iowa to “talk about a good side of Mitt that very few people know about. Because people know he’s been a success in business and because of that he’s being criticized and attacked. And you know, it’s been hard for me as a wife.”

Mitt Romney's history “tells you as much as you really need to know,” said his wife in the Register story. “Because is that not the real measure of a person? It’s not how much money we make but how we live our lives,” she said.

Ann Romney told the crowd nobody will work harder than her husband for the millions of Americans who need help.

“And I can tell you that there will be no one who will work harder, that will try harder, that will do everything he can to bring better economic prosperity to those Americans that are suffering. He is worried about so many of those that are being disenfranchised, that are slipping into poverty, that are wondering where there next paycheck will come from and how they’re going to make ends me. He will not fail.”

You people are a riot..... No wonder there are so many messed-up, socially awkward, emotionally fragile children in this world; they're learning it at home.

I just want to say that this is awesome. Please keep talking about Obama being a Muslim. I was afraid that Iowa was a boring place full of level-headed, rational people. Keep the dream alive!

It is entertaining, to say the least!

Let me get this straight, the debate moderator stated she's spoken to commanders on the ground and they were against the reduction in forces during fighting season. Biden thrashes out and asserts the Joint Chiefs (e.g., top brass who get so sit in plush chairs next to President in war room) agreed with the President's decision. Does he think we're stupid? Also, Iran might be a year away, but who knows? We got North Korea wrong (we thought they didn't have a nuke but they surprised us and the world) and everyone thought Iraq had nukes (another surprise). I don't want to go to war with Iran, but concerned about the path. Finally, did I hear correctly? Last night, I heard VP Biden assert "Obamacare makes medicare solvent to 2024". Did he mean 2124? That's 12 years from now and based on likely rosey projections. What are their plans to reform to extend and strengthen? Why didn't he respond to "Why not raise the age over time gradually?". When I google CBO's long term projections, the current system is unsustainable. I'm not sure about Ryan's plan, but no plan is terrifying. Also, sorry folks (both left (making false allegations) and right (wallets)), Romney said tax reforms will mean higher taxes for many wealthy. Watch 60 minutes interview and review is plan to cap deductions. Hits wealthy but ok w spending reforms.

Splinter, sounds like you are an independant, which s cool, I indeed think Biden and Obama both think the world is very stupid and niave., except for all the dems that adore him, anyway I beleive we are in for a very rude awakening if he gets re-elected. If Obama is half as arrogant with other countries as he is our own I hate to say what will happen they finally get fed up.....and I thought and I am probably wrong but I thought Biden said 2014.
