Search to Replace UNI President Ben Allen To Be Topic of Board of Regents Meeting

The Iowa Board of Regents will discuss the search to replace President Ben Allen during a telephonic meeting today.

Allen's was announced at the regent's Aug. 3 meeting in Cedar Falls. Allen said he hopes to leave the university by July 1, 2013, after a new president is hired.

The meeting will be at 1 p.m. today, Aug. 27.

The agenda for the meeting is attached to this article as a PDF. The agenda includes the proposed duties of a search firm, the proposed duties of the search committee, and a proposed list of places to pull search committee members from.

Agenda items include approving the duties of a search firm, approving the duties of a search committee and authorizing the Regents president and president pro tem to appoint a search committee chair.
