Wisco, Ryan Get Black Eye, Uthoff Gets to Transfer; Northern Iowa on His List

Could the 6-foot-8 former Cedar Rapids Jefferson star Jarrod Uthoff be coming to play basketball for the Iowa Hawkeyes in Iowa City or Iowa State Cyclones in Ames after his controversial exit from Wisconsin?

Many a game Iowa high school hoops fans were probably cursing under their breath as former Cedar Rapids Jefferson star Jarrod Uthoff scored bucket after bucket on their team.

He then spurned his home state, and heavy pursuit by the Iowa Hawkeyes, to become a Wisconsin Badger in college.

He played one year and now is on the verge of transferring ... after some dramatics. I'm guessing most fans will forgive and forget if he returns to Iowa to continue his college ball career.

Wisconsin coach Bo Ryan gave a lengthy list of schools he couldn't transfer to including all schools in the Big Ten and Iowa State, among many more. But, it appears Uthoff gets the last laugh after Ryan and Wisconsin got beat up on sports radio and the Twitterverse. Wisconsin relented lifting most of the bans, but some restrictions still remain, including for Big Ten schools.

Iowa State and Northern Iowa are said to be among his top choices, and he hasn't ruled out the Big Ten, according to a report in the Cedar Rapids Gazette.
