Couple Claims They Were Served 'Marijuana' McDouble at McDonald's

Incident in Iowa could bring new meaning to "Happy Meal."

OTTUMWA, Iowa – A couple claims they were served hamburgers topped with marijuana in an incident being investigated by police.

The Ottumwa Post reported that Brittany Songer, 23 and Cory Long, 31, ordered two McDoubles on April 26. Police told the newspaper that Songer, who is pregnant, and Long were sharing a burger when they discovered what they believe to be marijuana.

Police said lab results confirming the suspicions will not be back for at least two months. The newspaper reported that Songer and Long did not need medical attention.

"Cory brought me food and I offered a bite to my 2-year-old son, luckily he didn’t take one," Songer told the Ottumwa Post in a follow up story. "Then I took a bite of my burger and got mad at Cory. It tasted bad, and I thought maybe it was because he had cologne on his hands when he bit it. Then I opened the burger and the cheese was just covered with weed.”
