Cedar Falls Radio Station 93.5 The Mix Wins Another Award
This is the third time The Mix has won the award.
It's always nice to get a little recognition for hard work, says Jim Coloff, of KCVM-FM 93.5 The Mix. Coloff is the station manager and owner of the Cedar Falls radio station. Last Tuesday, The Mix was awarded the 2012 Crystal Award from the National Association of Broadcasters. The award, given to just 10 stations across the country each year, recognizes a year-round commitment to community service. This is the third time The Mix has won. "I am pretty proud," said Coloff, who has been with the station for 16 years. "I think it is nice to get feedback from the community that they appreciate the work that you do to support the community." KCVM has 11 full-time staff people.
