Downtown business owners did a fabulous job of transforming the downtown district into a beautiful window wonderland featuring displays with the theme of “Magical Nights, Magical Lights.”
Watch as ice sculptors create works of ice art with their chainsaws, listen to choral and instrumental groups performing while you dine or shop in downtown Cedar Falls, take the kids to visit Santa or the live nativity.
Enjoy a free showing of “The Santa Clause” starring Tim Allen on Saturday at the Oster Regent Theatre in downtown Cedar Falls. A gift to the community, this showing is for children and families of all ages.

Try unique drinks that several establishments will be serving up with the hope that they will earn your vote in Holiday Hoopla’s “Hoopla Cheer Contest” Thursday in downtown Cedar Falls.
Awards will be given based on holiday attire to the: Best Santa, Best Group, and Best Costume. Hot chocolate and coffee, Christmas music, Santa will be handing out gifts, Salvation Army toy drive donation, tasty food post event.
From 5 - 8 p.m., enjoy free horse-drawn trolley rides, holiday lights, carolers, Santa, Holiday Characters, and open house refreshments. Plus, special discounts and door prizes throughout the downtown district.
Pancakes will be flying high again this year at “Breakfast at the North Pole” on Saturday, December 1 from 8 – 11 a.m. in the Cedar Falls Community Center.
