Old Time Power Show

It’s the 49th Anniversary of the Old Time Power Show and it is happening August 16th, 17th, and 18th at 7610 Waverly Rd. in Cedar Falls. Gates open at 7 am each day and are packed full of fun and excitement for all ages.

Enjoy live demonstrations of steam engines, horse and tractor plowing, rock crushing, rope making, threshing, tractor pulls, parades, a huge flea market, plus live stage entertainment, museums, and great food! There are old-time games and prizes for the kids, sand art, pedal tractor pull and the Dean of Juggling. See history come to life as you step back to a simpler time.

According verbatim to Antique Acres, Inc., “Antique Acres is the result of a small group of antique, threshing, steam, plowing, saw milling and old farm machinery enthusiasts who incorporated in 1964. They purchased 80 acres of land and labeled it ‘Antique Acres.’ The corporation now consists of approximately 100 stockholders. It is their ambition and goal to restore and preserve antique equipment for future generations to enjoy. Most of the antiques, with the exception of a few pieces, are privately owned by the members. Some of the equipment dates back as far as before the 20th Century. During show days, all machinery, other than those in the process of being restored, are in full operation. Numerous exhibits and concessions are on hand. Also, an air-conditioned dining hall, meeting room and campground, with modern restrooms and shower, are available for rent to meet the needs of many events.”
