Cedar Falls Man Dies After Accident at John Deere

Stan J. Delagardelle, 54, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, June 29 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics from a work related accident.

Stan J. Delagardelle, 54, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, June 29 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics from a work related accident.

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reported a worker was injured June 25 at the John Deere’s Service Parts Operation in Waterloo when he was struck by a forklift. Delagardelle was a supervisor in Service Parts Operations, according to his obituary with Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service.

According to his obituary, he was born Oct. 25, 1958 in Waterloo, son of Louis and Donna Wilson Delagardelle. He married Sherrie Beasley Eldridge on Oct. 5, 1992 in Hawaii. 

He graduated from Columbus High School in 1977 and received his Assoc. Degree in Civil Engineering from Hawkeye Community College. 

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street. There will be no visitation at the church on Wednesday.
