Trail of Pigs Falls Into Traffic on Cedar Falls Highway

Police followed a trail of pigs on the highway Monday after they fell from an apparently unsecured door on a livestock trailer.

What would you do if you saw pigs falling into the road front of you?

That's what Cedar Falls drivers encountered Monday after pigs began falling into traffic on Highway 58 from an apparently unsecured door of a livestock trailer.

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reported callers began calling dispatchers about the pigs.

The Courier reported state troopers and Cedar Falls and Waterloo police found a trail of pigs heading east on Highway 20, and a pig carcass was found at the Highway 21 overpass in Waterloo.
