Cedar Falls Cracks Top 10 of Best High Schools in Iowa

Cedar Falls score well for math and reading, as well as college readiness.

Cedar Falls High School is above average, well above average, according to the latest U.S. News and World Reports survey of high schools across the country.

Cedar Falls comes in at No. 4 among Iowa high schools and 954 among all high schools in the country.

Cedar Falls scores well on math and reading proficiency, as well as readiness of students for college. A 15:1 student to teacher ration is a bit above average for Iowa.

Students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement® course work and exams. The AP® participation rate at Cedar Falls High School is 36 percent. The student body makeup is 49 percent male and 51 percent female, and the total minority enrollment is 13 percent.

In Iowa, the cream of the crop is Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids. The school came in at No. 550 in the nation.
